SODA.Auto

SODA.Auto is a UK-based automotive technology company founded in 2023 and headquartered in London. It offers a complete platform for developing Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), combining AI-driven engineering tools, digital twin technologies, an extensive software feature library, and simulation environments: all designed to streamline the vehicle development process from concept to certification.

Value Proposition

SODA.auto develops and markets a comprehensive suite of tools for the autonomous vehicle technology domain, centered around a powerful validation platform. Our core technology offering is SODA.Validate, a rapid simulation and validation platform for testing and certifying the entire vehicle. The platform is uniquely supported by both a comprehensive library of vehicle application software and the models required to represent the rest of the vehicle. SODA.Validate manages the validation process by enabling hybrid testing methodologies such as Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and Vehicle-in-the-Loop (VIL). The integrated platform enables Autoware users to perform the comprehensive validation required for commercial deployment and certification.

Technology Description

SODA.auto provides a high-performance, integrated validation and certification toolchain and application library, which supports the entire development cycle.

  • SODA.Auto Application Library: A comprehensive library of over 200 ready-to-use, certified vehicle features, complete with requirements, software, and tests.  The entire library is designed to be platform-agnostic, supporting any vehicle and drivetrain type.
  • SODA.Sim: A real-time 3D simulation environment that functions as a virtual proving ground. It supports the FMI/FMU standard for model import and features a comprehensive library of physically-based sensor models, including various LIDARs, radars, and cameras. The environment simulates vehicle data buses including CAN and LIN and provides access to highly detailed digital replicas of major cities worldwide for unparalleled realism.

SODA.Rig (for HIL): The platform’s Hardware-in-the-Loop component is a modular system for testing physical ECUs and hardware. Its architecture provides comprehensive hardware integration and simulation through its three main modules: a Universal Input / Output module for simulating analog sensors , an Electronic Load module for vehicle actuators and ECU loads , and an Interface Multiplexer module for digital networks like CAN and LIN.
