Technology Description
Advantech delivers purpose-built solutions to address the computing, sensing, localization, wireless communication, connectivity, industrial display, storage, safety, and security challenges faced by autonomous system developers.
Its robotic computing platforms support processors from NVIDIA, Intel, Qualcomm, Rockchip, and NXP, available in both board-level and with chassis. They offer scalable AI acceleration via integrated iGPU/NPU, modular NPUs, and MXM GPUs, ensuring optimal performance across diverse AI workloads. Real-time computing is enabled through support for EtherCAT, Acontis, and real-time Linux distributions with Preempt_RT or Xenomai_RT. To ensure operational reliability, Advantech integrates doubled EDD protection, wide-range DC input (min 9V to max. 28V), compact thermal designs, and -20°C to 60°C operating tolerance.
Advantech platforms also support high-resolution, low-latency vision inputs via MIPI-CSI and GMSL interfaces on both x86 and Arm architectures. High-precision IMU modules, embedded to minimize EMI, support sensor fusion with magnetometer, barometer, GNSS, and encoder data for accurate localization.
Security and reliability are addressed through IEC 62443-compliant design, leveraging Secure Boot and TPM/fTPM for system integrity. With over 500 in-house testing that ensures compatibility, Advantech Ubuntu Pro provides 10-year long-term support, including critical updates for ROS and real-time patches.
