GLU32 For Windows
The GLU 32 Xtra for Win32
allows Director applications to make calls to
third-party Win32 Dynamic Link Libraries (DLL) including
the Win32 System API from Lingo and will run on WinNT ,
Win95 , and Win98, Win2000 , and Windows XP. This Xtra has been designed to be as
similar as possible to the old16 bit DLLGLUE Xobject.
The GLU32 Xtra can call either Microsoft Win32 or
Borland Win32 compatible DLL’s using either the __stdcall
or __cdecl calling conventions and offers full support
for 64 bit floating point doubles. The Xtra is tiny at
under 62k , easy to use and offers excellent
performance. Some possible functions the Xtra can do
JUST using the Win32 API are copy files, delete files,
get how long the computer has been on, set file
attributes, create directories, paint into other
windows, move windows, get the Windows version and
attributes, draw dynamically to the stage for data
graphing , get color of an individual pixel, or the time
measurements in milliseconds rather than ticks, control
external media and devices and thousands of other
operations all from 1 Xtra.
