The
RavWare Flic ActiveX control plays Autodesk™ FLC/FLI (Flic)
content in executable applications, PowerPoint™
documents, and any ActiveX supporting application. It
offers fast playback, minimal overhead, accurate
display, and a large feature set to allow users to use
the Flic format to make their applications and documents
dazzle.
The control has the ability to embed the Flic file
itself inside a document to allow for easy distribution.
It supports the Animator Pro FLC and Animator FLI
specification fully, including 64 color, 256 color,
multi-palette and all standard Flic chunks. The control
can display Flic’s that are not properly rendered by
existing Flic players. It can decode at amazing speeds,
while displaying Flic's in accurate palletized colors in
4,8,16,24,32 bit resolutions. It also implements a
number of special features, including rollover behavior,
start-stop on click, and window shape. The Flic Control
does NOT use the MCI and does all decoding of the Flic
without the need for any 3rd party DLL and is completely
self contained. The control was designed to allow
developers using PowerPoint or most OCX94 compatible
software the ability to add Flic’s to their documents
without requiring any programming or macros. By setting
options in an easy-to-use dialog, you can control
playback.
The RavWare Flic Control can also be programmed through
VB , VBA , MSVC , Delphi, Borland C++ Builder, or any
container meeting the OCX94-96 specification.
It can display a custom single (CUR) or animated cursor
(ANI) when over the Flic image area.
The demo version will popup a dialog during use and
can only be used for testing purposes.
